Warriors sweep Holyoke CC 12-4 & 18-3

Shane Holmes picked up his fourth win of the season (4-1) as he scattered five hits and struck three Cougar batters. A six run second inning pretty much put the game away as the Warriors pulled away to a 9-3 lead. Pat Murray had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the Warrior offense. Trevor Packard drove in two runs and had a pair of hits as well. The Warriors ended up with 17 hits in the first game as every batter recorded at least one hit on the day.

The second game ended with the 10 run “slaughter” rule being invoked at the end of the fifth inning. Matt Levasseur had three hits and drove in 8 runs, as he hit two bases loaded doubles and he also drove in a pair of runs with a first inning single.

Travis Ritchie and Joe Walsh each had a three hit day that featured a home run. Dave Murphy had three hits and a pair of runs batted in. Corey Walker picked up the win as he improved to 2-1 on the season.

All in all, it was a solid weekend for the Warriors as they now stand 15-9 overall and 9-1 in the Division.
