Warriors sweep the Holyoke CC Cougars 3-0 and 10-0

The Warriors beat the Cougars and a questionable weather forecast to sweep Holyoke CC in a double header. In the first game Jake Stearns recorded his sixth win of the year. Stearns struck out six and scattered seven hits. The Warriors did their scoring in the fourth inning. Kevin Huscher lead off with a single and promptly stole second base. He moved to third on a Tyler Morini single and scored on a passed ball for the first Warrior run. Morini stole second base and came around to score on an Alex Carey single. Alex came all the way around on a Justin Martinho single. The three runs were the margin of victory for the Warriors.

Zack Reid took a dominant fast ball to the mound to record the win a five inning, 10-0 victory. Zack only allowed one hit and struck our eight Cougar hitters. Huscher had a pair of hits, scored a run and stole a base. Dylan Ashburn has two hits and plated two runners.Bryan Dwyer had a first inning double that was scorched to left field and drove in two Warriors runs to set the pace for the offense for the remainder of the game.

The Warriors travel to Auburn High School tomorrow to play Quinsigamond CC and wrap up their regular season schedule.
