Massasoit CC 2 Riverland CC (MN) 0

The Warriors played a great game in a 2-0 win over the Riverland CC Devils. Luke Nagle was outstanding as he pitched a six hit complete game shut out.  Nagle only walked one batter while striking out three Devil hitters. In the top of the seventh with bases loaded and two outs, Nagle recorded the final out on a fly ball to Travis Ritchie in centerfield.

The Warriors were held to only three hits, but took advantage of their one scoring opportunity. Chris Roumbakis led off the bottom of the third with a double. With two outs Pat Murray coaxed a walk to put runners on first and second. David Murphy then crushed a double over the center fielder’s head to provide the margin of victory.

After a slow start the Warriors won four of the last five games at Historic DodgerTown in Vero Beach, Florida. The team heads home tomorrow, on the heels of a very successful spring trip.

The Warriors end their trip on a high note with a 2-0 victory over Riverland CC (MN).
