The Massasoit CC Warriors travled to Charlestown, MA to take on the Bunker Hill CC Bull Dogs. The Warriors pulled out a 9-2 win behind the strong pitching of freshman, Shane Holmes (3-1). Holmes went eight innings, scattering five hits and striking out five Bull Dog hitters. The Warriors managed only seven hits in the game, but benefited from 11 Bull Dog walks, five of them ended up scoring. Chris Adams and Ben Monterio provided the offense with each of them having a pair of hits, Chris drove in a run and Benny plated two Warriors. Damien Bellotti put the game away with a two rbi single in the top of the ninth. Dave Tarr came in to pitch the final inning and keep the Warriors perfect in Division III play at 5-0.

The Warriors play four more Divisional games this weekend against Holyoke CC (either Saturday or Sunday depending on Friday’s weather) at home and on the road for a pair against Quinsigamond CC, in Worcester, MA on Monday.

Shane Holmes picked up his third win (3-1) in a 9-2 victory over Bunker Hill CC.
