Warriors sweep the Holyoke CC Cougars…

The Warriors beat the Cougars and the questionable weather forecast, as they swept a double header by 3-0 and 10-0 scores. Jake Stearns improved to 6-1 on the season as he struck out 6 Holyoke hitters. He gave up seven hits, but was victimized by several slow rollers in the infield that combined didn’t travel 90 feet. The Warriors scored all three runs in the fourth inning. Kevin Huscher led off with a single and promptly stole second base, he moved to third on a Tyler Morini single and ultimately scored on a passed ball. Alex Carey drove in Tyler and Justin Martinho plated Alex for the final Warrior run. That was all Jake needed to lock down the win.

In game two Zack Reid had a dominant stint on the mound as his fastball was simply too much for the Cougar hitters. Zack only allowed one hit while striking out eight batters. Kevin Huscher had a pair of hits and scored twice and drove in a run, while Dylan Ashburn had a pair of hits and drove in two runs.Bryan Dwyer drove in a pair of runs with a first inning double and the Warriors never looked back.

At 17-16,the Warriors travel to Auburn High School tomorrow to pay the Quinsigamond CC Wyverns at a time TBA.
